Dr. Mohsin S. Sheikh is excited to join the team at Pain & Spine Specialists of Maryland! Prior to joining PASS, Dr. Sheikh practiced in Gaithersburg for 12 years and was the founder and medical director of Pain, Spine & Rehab Associates. He has also been a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at The George Washington University since 2016.

Dr. Sheikh earned his B.A. in Biology and Psychology from Rutgers University and obtained his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Sheikh was Chief Resident at Georgetown University Hospital and National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC. He then completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mohsin S. Sheikh, M.D., is board-certified in both physical medicine & rehabilitation and pain medicine. Utilizing his unique dual training, Dr. Sheikh accurately diagnoses painful conditions and comprehensively treats them using non-surgical techniques. He takes a multidisciplinary approach to care, coordinating with primary care physicians, other specialists, and therapists, to ensure his patients receive well-rounded and complete care. Above all, his personal and professional approach, combined with a compassionate and humanistic nature, has been extremely well regarded by his peers and very well received by his patients. Dr. Sheikh has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” in Washington, D.C., by Washingtonian magazine for the last nine years.

Dr. Sheikh enjoys teaching and can frequently be seen in the office or procedure room with a student on rotation not too far behind. When he is not improving the lives of his patients, Dr. Sheikh loves watching college basketball, playing tennis and pickleball, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters at their home in Rockville, Maryland.
