I have been to 3 different locations for Pain & Spine Specialists...I used to go to the Hagerstown office, when my insurance changed I had to change to a Pennsylvania location and in order to get me in to see a doctor so I didn't run out of my meds they made me an appointment at the State College office until I could be seen at the Altoona office which is where I currently go once a month. To say that I've been treated with the UTMOST RESPECT in each location would be an understatement! From the receptionist, to the nurse, the provider/doctor, and the scheduler...I have never been met with anything other than kindness and respect! They actually LISTEN to your concerns and take the time to answer questions. You can't say that very often about people in the medical field today, sadly. Oh, I've also had an injection done which again, I was treated so well. They also don't over-schedule so tightly that you're waiting a long time to be seen. One of the most IMPORTANT aspects is that I have always been treated kindly and with understanding when it comes to my pain...I have never felt "shamed" or as if my pain isn't real. Never been made to feel as if I'm a "drug seeker". Be honest with them and go about things "by the book" and you will get the medical treatment you deserve! If you are in need of "pain management" you should find a location near you and look up reviews on them for yourself...you'll find many good reviews. They offer various ways of treating pain and managing it...they are up to date with all of the newest medical technology and procedures to ensure that you receive the best care they have to offer. I drive nearly 2 hours~one way to the Altoona office for my monthly appointment...that's how much I appreciate the amazing care that I receive! The drive isn't easy on me as far as my pain, spasms, and migraines...but it's ABSOLUTELY worth it to receive the wonderful care from the moment I walk in the door! I won't trust my pain management needs to just anyone because at Pain & Spine Specialists...I'm treated like a person and that means everything!
